IWS Trident System

The IWS Trident System brings a new level of simplicity and performance to flood-and-drain growing. It replaces traditional multi-part setups with a streamlined design that uses rubber grommets, push-fit connections and built-in risers, allowing you to assemble the system quickly and without tools. As a result, setting up an IWS system has never been faster or more reliable.

At the heart of the system are the Trident pots. Each pot features a central bottom-feed port, integrated root rods and tie-back rings that support stronger stems, wider canopies and more vigorous root development. The included cloth inner pots increase oxygenation, encourage air pruning and help create a dense, healthy root mass. Because cloth pots work with all substrates, the Trident System adapts easily to soil, coco, clay pebbles or blends.

How it Works

The Trident System automates the flood-and-drain process through the IWS Control Unit. Nutrient solution is pumped from the tank into the control module at times set on the IWS minute timer. As the Control Unit fills, the solution gravity-feeds into the Trident pots through the central bottom port. This bottom-up approach ensures full saturation of the root zone while eliminating the risk of roots blocking the pipework.

Once the upper float valve inside the Control Unit rises to its set height, the fill cycle stops automatically. Because the float height matches the top of the pots, the system cannot overflow. After the pots reach full saturation, the solution drains back into the tank, pulling fresh oxygen into the root zone. This process supports rapid growth, consistent feeding and excellent nutrient uptake.
